Data we process and legal bases
When you contact us, we process your name, email, message and any voluntarily supplied relocation context to respond and prepare a possible engagement. The legal basis is steps requested before a contract (Article 6(1)(b) GDPR) and, for general enquiries, our legitimate interest in correspondence (Article 6(1)(f)).
For clients, we process contact details, questionnaires, meeting notes, deliverables and invoicing records to perform the contract and meet German accounting obligations. We ask you not to provide passport numbers, health details or other sensitive data through the website.
Our web host may process IP address, timestamp, requested page and browser information in short-lived security logs under our legitimate interest in secure delivery. Optional analytics, if introduced, will run only after consent.
Recipients and transfers
Authorised staff and contracted hosting, email, video-meeting and accounting providers receive data only as needed. We do not sell personal data. Where a provider processes data outside the European Economic Area, we use an adequacy decision or approved safeguards such as EU standard contractual clauses and assess supplementary protections.
Retention
Unsuccessful enquiries are normally deleted after 12 months. Client correspondence, questionnaires and working notes are retained for up to three years after the engagement to address follow-up questions or legal claims. Invoices and tax records are kept for the period required by German law, generally eight years. Security logs are normally removed within 30 days.
Your rights
Subject to legal conditions, you may request access, correction, deletion, restriction, portability or objection. You may withdraw consent at any time without affecting earlier lawful processing. You may complain to a data-protection authority, including the Berlin Commissioner for Data Protection and Freedom of Information.

Automated decisions and changes
We do not use your data for automated decisions with legal or similarly significant effects. We update this notice when our handling changes and publish the revision date.
